Free lecture on the liberation of money and credit and the restoration of the commons at Elliott Bay Book Co.

Perhaps you've noticed a slight bit of turmoil in our national and global financial systems?
Renowned community and monetary economist, educator and consultant
Thomas H. Greco Jr. offers a compelling alternative view that
illuminates a path out of our present mess.
He will discuss his revolutionary ideas and his latest book, "The End
of Money and the Future of Civilization," in a special lecture at Elliott Bay Book Co. in Seattle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4th.
"The End of Money" is a sweeping view of money and a plan to democratize the economy and restore the “credit commons.”
According to Greco, like the proverbial fish who doesn’t know what water is, we swim in an economy built on money that few of us comprehend. And what we don’t know is hurting us.
"The End of Money and the Future of Civilization" demystifies the subjects of money, banking, and finance and provides:
• Specific design proposals for exchange-system design
• Strategies for local, regional, national, and global financial systems
• Plan for implementation by grassroots organizations, businesses, and governments
In addition to the November 4th lecture, BALLE Seattle supporters are
invited to two group conversations about launching a local community
currency. The first is on Tuesday, November 3rd at 3:00 p.m. and the
second is on Monday, November 9th at 7:00 p.m. For more information
please email Brian Allen at brian@appropriatetechgroup.com, and mention
your BALLE affiliation.
