What is the economic development team?

BALLE Seattle is leading the Economic Team for the Seattle Green Map project. Our goal is to first identify local businesses who are practicing sustainability, and then promote them on the 2005 map.

The Seattle Green Map Economic Development team's goal is to identify and promote socially, economically and environmentally sustainable business in Seattle.

These are the businesses that can demonstrate a positive contribution to our local economy, set an example of environmental processes and innovations, and contribute to the green spirit and culture of our community.

We want to identify as many businesses as possible for inclusion on a web-based interactive map which we plan to unveil on World Environment Day (June 5th).

BALLE Seattle is leading the "Sustainable Business" Theme Team, which is one of six teams working on creating a 2005 Seattle Green Map. The other teams are lead by other organizations.
