Sustainable Solstice Festival This Weekend

You have probably heard about the Fremont Solstice Parade, but have your heard about the Sustainable Solstice Festival? Immediately following the parade this Saturday come by Gas Works Park to participate in the first Sustainable Solstice Festival! BALLE Seattle is helping make it happen and we think you will enjoy it.

What is it?

The Sustainable Solstice Festival is a celebration of the arts, lasting community, and positive futures. New for 2007, the Fremont Arts Council is partnering with several local sustainable-living groups to make it a part of the Solstice Saturday celebrations on June 16th, 2007.

Festival highlights include the 9th Annual Solstice Pageant (a gorgeous theatrical presentation of a modern-day fable), hands-on workshops using reclaimed materials, tours of the Gas Works (inside the fence!), interactive sustainable practices demonstrations, food, a beer garden, music, and more!

Look for BALLE Seattle and lots of other great local organizations in the Sustainable Commons area.
