Local producers - farmers, fishers, cheese makers and ranchers - will gather with local buyers - chefs, retail buyers, markets and institutions - who want locally produced foods (vegetables, fruit, berries, meat, wine, dairy, cheese, shellfish, fish and more) in their restaurants, stores, and cafeterias.
“Bringing producers and buyers together, face to face, to talk about what they offer and what they need is the best way we’ve found to establish working trade relationships.” - Shonie Schlotzhauer of Sustainable Connections, Whatcom County
Now is the time to plan for the 2007 growing season.
- With more and more consumers seeking local farm products, producers and buyers are seeking new and exciting ways to work together.
- Sourcing local products isn’t as easy as working with a single distributor, but many local buyers are working with suppliers to overcome the challenges.
Come, make NEW direct connections Discover fresh foods produced locally by farmers and fishers Discover the needs of local food buyers.
