Joanna Macy and David Korten are two important authors and teachers of our times. This conversation assumes a basic understanding of the major forces at work within our society driving us towards either severe lifestyle problems, possibly even extinction, or on the other hand, more hopefully towards an important shift in consciousness, community building and interdependence. It is important to note that this will be not be an introductory event to David's or Joanna's work and that participants unfamiliar to their work are strongly encouraged to visit their websites (Joanna Macy - www.joannamacy.net / David Korten - www.davidkorten.org) or read their current publications such as David Korten's recent book The Great Turning.
