Tanya Barnett of Earth Ministry, along with producers of local foods, will speak to how locally grown foods are good for you, for your pocketbook, and the environment. The BALLE Seattle dinner meeting will be June 10, 6:00 to 8:30 pm, at The Community Living Room, 3400 Phinney Avenue N, Seattle. Meet local farmers, enjoy a buffet dinner, and learn how to get weekly deliveries of locally grown foods. The $5 admission covers both speakers and dinner. To guarantee a dinner RSVP to Andrew at andrew@ergainc.com or 206-624-4070. The dinner is provided by Full Circle Farms, Seamonster Seafood and Sweet Meats, Chaco Canyon Café, and the Flying Apron Bakery. BALLE Seattle adheres to the mission of the national organization, which now has chapters in 11 states and British Columbia. This mission is to support, connect, and strengthen local, independent businesses that are dedicated to building healthy, sustainable communities. Information on BALLE can be found at www.livingeconomies.org.
